Hello.
My name is Tanya.
Thanks for being here, it means a lot. Like many people, I had an extended break from music while I had kids and established a (non-musical!) career. I've always written songs and sung in bands - and that's what I returned to do.
But I wanted to stretch my wings. So, in 2020, armed with some borrowed equipment, determination and a lifetime supply of unsung songs I began producing and releasing music as a solo artist under the name Tangled. Fast forward to now and I have released a bunch of songs; please have a listen and let me know what you think.

I've been very lucky to have had a lot of unique opportunities come my way since I picked music back up...
One could say I wear many 'hats' (or wigs!). I didn't know what a tribute band was before I was asked to be in one in around 2019. I don't really know how it happened but I subsequently wound up owning/managing a couple! I sing BV's in a couple more - never thought singing harmony would be a thing for me, but I actually love it. I'm also part of a variety of other cover acts - playing balls, weddings, festivals, baby showers, BBQs - you name it. I love it all. Here are a few pictures of a bit of it. Why Tangled?
Tangled is derived from a nickname bestowed on me in the 90's that just stuck. I still get called "Tang" today. I didn't really think about it at the time but in hindsight, I kind of wish I'd chosen something else. Competing with Disney movies in search engines is hard. And Spotify wants to spruik Disney merch on my profile. But it is what it is and it is now who I am.
